Our History
From the ground up, literally
Kinsel Industries didn’t start in a boardroom. It started on job sites, in the Texas heat, building roads and infrastructure. That foundation, the grit, discipline, and bias for action, has carried the family through five decades and into industries we never could have predicted.
Civil Construction
Kinsel Industries, Inc.
It all started in the dirt. Kinsel Industries, Inc. built its name in civil construction. Roads, bridges, infrastructure, and heavy earthwork across Texas. This was the proving ground: hard work, thin margins, and a reputation earned one project at a time. The discipline and operational instincts forged in construction became the DNA of everything that followed.
The bedrock of the family enterprise
Construction Materials & Supply Chain
Coastal Crushed Concrete · Texas Coastal Materials
With deep knowledge of the construction industry came an eye for the supply chain behind it. Coastal Crushed Concrete expanded the family's reach into aggregates and recycled building materials. Texas Coastal Materials continued that strategy, owning the inputs rather than just buying them. This vertical integration improved margins on existing projects and opened entirely new revenue streams.
Controlled costs, compounded returns
Real Estate Development
Coastal Bend Development
A natural extension of construction expertise, Coastal Bend Development moved the family into real estate. Commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Understanding how to build from the ground up, literally, gave an edge that pure financial developers didn't have. Projects were delivered on time, under budget, and held for the long term.
From builder to owner-operator
Oil, Gas & Industrial Infrastructure
Breakwater Energy Partners · Twin Eagle Frack Sand Logistics · Mission Rail Park
The family's entry into energy began with Breakwater Energy Partners, with investments across upstream, midstream, and services in one of the most dynamic sectors in the economy. Twin Eagle Frack Sand Logistics brought operational expertise to the critical supply chain behind drilling operations. Mission Rail Park extended that infrastructure play into industrial rail logistics, creating a multi-modal hub for commerce and distribution. The same hands-on ownership mentality applied across all three: understanding the operations, not just the financials.
Built across the energy value chain from extraction to logistics
Technology
Ruckit, Inc.
As the family's investment lens widened, technology became a focus. Not chasing hype, but identifying businesses with real revenue, real customers, and defensible positions. Ruckit, Inc. represented the family's move into the tech space, grounded in the same fundamentals-first approach that defined every other venture.
Applied old-school diligence to new-economy opportunities
Hospitality, Entertainment & Wellness
Timber Creek Golf Course · The Betty · CLE Group · Prana Wellness Club
The move into hospitality brought the family into golf, dining, nightlife, entertainment, and wellness. Timber Creek Golf Course and The Betty established the family in elevated dining and recreation. CLE Group expanded the portfolio into large-scale entertainment and nightlife venues. Prana Wellness Club brought the same commitment to quality into the wellness space. These businesses demand operational excellence every single day. Exactly the kind of challenge the family thrives on.
Expanded into high-touch, operationally intensive businesses
Products & Experiences for Everyone
Gel Blaster · Gel Blaster Nexus · Tony's Tap Water
The latest chapter brought Kinsel Industries into consumer-facing brands. Gel Blaster created a new category in outdoor recreation, building a loyal community around safe, competitive fun. Gel Blaster Nexus took that energy offline into immersive entertainment venues. Tony's Tap Water entered the beverage space with a brand built on personality and purpose. These ventures represent a new kind of ownership, building brands that connect directly with consumers at scale.
From B2B roots to household-name ambitions
A Diversified Family Enterprise
What began with a construction company in Texas has grown into a diversified holding company spanning multiple industries and asset classes. The thread connecting it all is the same: own it, operate it, and think in generations. Every new venture builds on the lessons of the last.
Multiple industries. One family. One standard.
The Common Thread
Different industries.
Same principles.
From pouring concrete to pouring capital, the approach has never changed. Understand the business. Do the work. Think long-term. Every industry we’ve entered was built on the credibility and cash flow of the one before it.
